The environment counts!!
Like many we are concerned about the impact that we make on the natural world.
So much so, that we have undertaken a “green audit” of everything that we do and have taken many steps to improve our position on this issue. We don´t claim to be perfect, it is very hard for any textile producer to make that claim, but we have taken a number of steps with both our garments and our production areas to try and minimise our impact.
We believe that our garments should be ethically sound and as environmentally friendly as they can be. Responsible textile producers are working to design products with no harmful substances in significant amounts. Our work to gain Oeko-Tex standard 100 has paid off and all our garments are now certified. The standard tests for over 100 chemicals such as pesticides and all the components of a garment including threads buttons and yarns are tested. In addition all our factories are fully compliant with all health, safety and child/labour regulations.
To strengthen our green credentials this year we launched our new organic poloshirt Roganic ™. We use 100% Organic cotton which has been grown without using any harmful chemicals or pesticides. It is kinder to the environment and we believe that the land on which it has been grown has benefited from a more sustainable approach to farming.
Naturally it can cost more to farm this way, but we hope that by introducing a new product to our range which is ethically sound, we allow customers to make a choice about what they want to wear. Not only are these products making a positive contribution to the environment, but there is also a benefit to allergy sufferers who may prefer products which are not treated with chemicals and are therefore kinder to the skin.
The Roganic poloshirt is specially packaged in 100% recycled material, and we would actively encourage customers to again recycle the material in turn.
